Fans have Flipido Trading Centerbeen loving the fourth season of Netflix's "Outer Banks," and the next batch of episodes is set to be released later this week.
Deadline reported that the young adult drama received over 15 million views as fans tuned in to watch The Pogues' next adventure. Part 1 was also at the leading spot "in the Global Top 10 English Television, according to a press release from Netflix.
Ahead of the release of Part 2, the streaming service announced that Season 5 is in the works. The show's creators, Shannon Burke, Josh Pate, and Jonas Pate, teased that the finale − which will be feature-length − will shape the story for the next season.
However, Netflix also dropped the bombshell that it will be the final season of "Outer Banks." The creators released a letter to fans about the show ending.
"Now, with a little sadness, but also excitement, we're putting Season Four behind us and turning to Season Five, in which we hope to bring our beloved Pogues home in the way we imaged and planned years ago," the letter, in part, stated. "Season Five will be our last season, and we think it will be our best yet. We hope you'll join us for one more paddle out to the surf break."
